Ok, so I’m a couple of months late on this, but I couldn’t not mention it. I’m so pleased to see two of my favorite things come together to make an odd, but great product. New Era and Vitamin Water!!!! Anyone who knows me, knows of my many unhealthy obsessions, which include Yankees fitted caps and Vitamin Water. To my disappointment, these hats aren’t going to be released to the general public, only to those who endorse Vitamin Water, like Lebron James.

I thought these were for the same line, but these are the prototypes for a collaboration with Secret Society. I’m not really feelings these as much.

Yes, it’s the classic, never goes out of style, tote. They’re perfect for throwing in all the crap you may or may not need (I actually carry dry erase markers). I personally have a very strange interest in all things that appear to look like bags or luggage. It’s a whole new world of style really. It’s totally makes me understand how Louis Vuitton was able to become what it is today off of just luggage. When you discover that you can set your entire style status with a suitcase, the world begins to make more sense. I’m so off topic, but I’m just saying, if you’re not into luggage, try it……..

Back to totes…… the great thing about them is that they’re unisex (generally speaking); guys can carry them and not look like they have a murse (man-purse). Of course, my preferred tote is by Ralph Lauren, but there are many other brands and styles you can go for. Another thing that makes totes an excellent choice is the fact that they come in basic and neutral colors that can be put with pretty much anything you own and still look decent.

They also come in various types of fabric to fit the style you’re wearing. There are high end leather, canvas, and khaki totes. There’s one for every occasion. If you check on my friends Jkissi and Trav of Street Etiquette, you’ll see it done right. It’s also done exquisitely over at BKc.

I knew there was a reason I’ve never owned a camcorder. I was waiting on the Kodak Zi8. It comes in aqua, raspberry and black. It records HD 1080p videos, records up to 32GB of video, has built in USB arm, and you can easily upload to social networking sites (facebook, You Tube). Plus, It’s a got a really good price, for $179.95. It releases in September but is available for pre-order on Amazon.

If your not watching Black in America 2, you need to start. It’s part two of a CNN special that aired for the first time last year. It got such huge ratings and great feedback that it’s back this year and it’s just as good, if not better than, last year. The host Soledad O’Brien interviews African Americans from all different walks of life; from the affluent and well connected to the struggling high school student. Through these people’s experiences, the show examines situations and conditions that millions of black people face everyday. I absolutely love the show and I hate it if I miss an episode. It’s a very interesting, informative and inspiring program that you should definitely tune into.

I love the game Tetris! It’s the only application I actually paid for on my iPhone. I’ve seen many Tetris tees, but this one is by far my favorite. I think it’s because of the placement of the blocks and the vibrant colors that contrast the black, which we all know I love. The sad part is, the link I found for the shirt doesn’t work anymore, so I don’t know where I can buy it. However, it gives me great Tecknicolor ideas.

If you hadn’t noticed, I follow the blog of Vashtie Kola, a.k.a. Downtowns Sweetheart. She’s probably the person who inspired me to blog. She’s a director, having shot an independent music video for the song “Us Placers” off of a Kanye West mixtape, which features child versions of Kanye and featured artists Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams. The personal project was commissioned entirely by Vashtie and was a huge success, reaching a million hits via YouTube in less than a day. Soon after, she was once again back in the director’s seat creating music videos for Solange (“T.O.N.Y.”), Kid Cudi (“Heaven At Night”), Jadakiss featuring Faith Evans (“Letter to B.I.G.”), Justin Bieber (“One Love”) and more. She also has a clothing line called Violette and she’s invited to all the best parties in NY (and they’re like every week, when does she work?). I personally have added her to the list of people I stalk….I mean, follow online and you should as well. Her new and improved site is up and I’m loving the animation.

This is the logo I’ve been using for Tecknicolor for quite a few years now and I love it, it’s great. However, in the near future the currently known concept of Tecknicolor is going to be taking a turn into a new direction. I’m really excited about this and I’m ready for a new logo to go along with the re-introduction of Tecknicolor. Keep checking back for updates on the progression of it all.

Some people don’t believe that I’ve really been collecting sneakers since I was in, like, kindergarten. This is why I’m into vintage Nike’s (mainly basketball shoes) so much. I had the Nike Air Mission Chargers when I was in the third or fourth grade in 1994. My cousin (who was more like my brother), @MrForteFPC, had the black and I had the white. We always bought the same shoes, but if it was possible, we would get them in different colors. I usually got the white, because he claimed it was the girl color and then would want to wear them later. We had little sneaker cleaning sessions. We would get together with all of our cleaning supplies to clean our shoes and watch cartoons. Now that I think about it, I don’t think other kids our age were as into shoes as we were, with one exception who I may introduce in a later blog……The point is: I need these shoes again (preferably the white and blue)! Not only are they a great pair of vintage Nike’s, they have sentimental value. They’re a part of my list of needed vintage Nike’s that I should probably post one of these days.
Random Fact: I had to buy these shoes one size bigger than what I wore, because they ran small, on top of the fact that they had a strap. Now that I think of it it was probably because I actually tied my shoes back then (mom wouldn’t let me wear them untied or unstrapped).
Note: Because this shoe is so rare now, these are the best pics I could find of them and I barely found these.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) – An extremely dangerous scene in Hazel Park where a tanker truck, possibly two, have exploded into flames on I-75. The overpass at Nine Mile Road has collapsed. Fire crews from several nearby cities are on the scene, but the flames continue to re-ignite.
It is believed the truck or trucks hit a bridge at Nine Mile Road, flipped over, burst into flames and causing a chain reaction.
The smoke and flames are massive and can be seen for miles around metro Detroit.
We do not know how many vehicles have been involved, but we know there are some other cars and a Meijer semi truck burst into flames on the highway.
No word yet on any injuries or if anyone was killed.
Power is out in most of the city of Hazel Park and there have been some businesses in this area that have been forced to evacuate.
Police are urging people to stay away from this area. The fumes are toxic and it is a dangerous situation. They are also telling people who live near this area to stay in their homes.
