I couldn’t put my finger on what it was about Duckie Brown’s Fall/Winter 2009 fashion show that was so familiar. Then it finally hit me…..Bazooka Joe comics! My cousin used to keep this cookie tin full of Bazooka Joe gum and even though it would break my teeth it was so old, I couldn’t resist it. I always had at least two pieces and a few for the road. Each piece of gun is wrapped in a comic and the character I was most fascinated with was the guy who wore his turtle neck over his face, Mort….I wonder if Duckie did that intentionally.
