Underrated: David Niven

Everyone speaks frequently of Cary Grant, James Dean, Fred Astaire and the like, but there is another classic movie star that often gets over looked, David Niven. I think people over look him because he did more supporting roles than leading roles. However, he had impeccable style and was a great actor, who had a wide range of skills; he went  from drama to comedy with ease and was great at both. The best thing about David Niven is that his cool could never be broken and he was always very distinguished. Not only was his personality distinguished, but so was his style. Many people believe that Cary Grant is the model for men in tuxedo’s and that may be true, but if David Niven isn’t equal to Cary, he’s a close runner-up. Simply put, the man had style and people don’t acknowledge it enough.
